Computer Won't Recognize New Sata HD
It just looked like it did or could before you bought it. OK, here's what worked for me. Being new to Windows 7, this helped, but it missed a few parts I had to find. I went back to Disk Management. Hard Disk Not Detected In Bios How To Recover Data Right clicked, create a "simple volume" for the drive, change the drive letter, and BAM, good to go! they will erase the data on it while thinking they are fixing it. That DOES NOT apply to your main chipset.
