No internet connection was possible. Third party marks are the property of their respective owners. I have three friends with the same problem and they are just living with it. Losing Internet Connection Every Few Minutes
For Wi-Fi - most Windows laptops default to "maximum performance" when plugged in and then shift to "moderate power savings" when on battery (you'll find these settings in Windows under Power I have absolutely done everything possible trying to fix this. And last but not least. Try going to a better reception area and or borrow a known good usb wireless adapter to confirm the problem.

Wireless Internet Keeps Dropping
Every 3 minutes or so, while connected to wifi (that I know was working properly with a strong signal) I would get dropped from the internet and to get back on I've checked the power management settings of the adapter, but so far nothing seems to have worked. Don't worry, if the wireless does start dropping out again, I'll be back. Messed up modem It's possible that your modem needs to be reset or updated. My daughter has the identical computer. Have used Dlink previously and so far no problems except of course in distances or areas.
