To do this, go to the Power Options section of the Windows control panel and click on ‘Change plan settings' for the power plan you are currently using.
Now click on Change advanced power settings and scroll down to Processor power management. My new power supply is a 450-watt Okia, which was rated highly by Tiger Direct customers, and so far it seems to be doing the job. I saw this on PC Advisor and thought you should see it too. If you have a desktop machine, make sure the tower is well ventilated to keep things cool inside.
