Use canned compressed air to blow out any dust (preferably outdoors). Do you have any suggestions to go from here? Here are some other possible answers. Once I changed it the computer workes smooth. Your motherboard is OK its a GPU issue, I would give up the idea of an Ati and replace with the more suited Nvidia.

Is it a controlled Windows style shutdown and then the power goes off? I had installed a router and used the laptop once again after that. So not sure if it is the router that has caused it or something more sinister! I though that if the power supply is going bad the computer reboots itself.
